Jazadco renews 2 lease agreements with Saudi gov’t

Riyadh – Mubasher: Jazan Development and Investment Company (Jazadco) announced on 1 July 2026, the completion of procedures to renew two lease agreements with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture for land hosting its shrimp farms.

The renewal spans a duration of 30 years and covers a total area of 8,000 dunams, equivalent to 8,000,000 square meters, located in the Jazan region.

The agreements maintain the previous rental rate of SAR 1 per dunam annually. According to the company, the long-term lease ensures the stability of project operating costs and guarantees continued use of existing operational sites.

The company stated that the move aligns with its future expansion plans within the aquaculture sector and supports national food security objectives under Saudi Vision 2030.

The final signed copies of the agreements were received on 1 July 2026, following the completion of signing procedures by all relevant parties.

Jazadco expects the renewal to provide long-term operational certainty for its primary aquaculture assets.

At the beginning of 2026, Jazadco renewed a Sharia-compliant working capital facility valued at SAR 15 million with Arab National Bank (ANB).
