Ithmaar Holding turns to profitability in 9M

Mubasher: Bahrain-based Ithmaar Holding has achieved net profits attributable to the equity holders of $1.476 million during the first nine months of 2021, against net losses of $3.288 million in the same period of 2020, according to the company's interim consolidated financials for the nine-month period ended 30 September 2021.

The company's total income increased to $109.826 million in the January-September period of 2021, compared to $96.89 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) stood at 0.05 US cents in the first nine months of 2021, versus losses per share of 0.11 US cents in the year-ago period.

In the third quarter (Q3) of 2021, Ithmaar Holding reported a net loss attributable to equity holders of $2.53 million, compared to the net loss of $2 million in the same quarter of 2020.

Meanwhile, the company logged accumulated losses of $831.54 million as of 30 September 2021, representing 109.7% of the share capital, compared to $833.79 million as of 31 December 2020.
