Indonesia offers projects worth SAR 40bn to Saudis

Riyadh-Mubasher: The delegation accompanying the Indonesian President in his visit to Saudi Arabia offered investment opportunities and projects at a total value of nearly SAR 40 billion.

President Joko Widodo called upon Saudi businessmen and participants in the joint business forum, held yesterday in Jeddah, to take part in Indonesia's development projects such as building airports and roads as well as operation of ports.

"We can't rely on local funds, and the projects need foreign investors, especially from Saudi Arabia," he told the forum.

Saleh Kamel, chairman of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said it is necessary to hold a joint economic conference to boost the trade exchange between the two countries.
