Indian investments in Sharjah hit AED 12bn in 2017

Dubai- Mubasher: Total investments of Indian economic enterprises in the emirate of Sharjah amounted to around AED 12 billion in 2017, the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) said in a statement.

SCCI further revealed that total volume of exports and re-exports of these enterprises hit AED 771 million by the end of 2017. The figures are based on the certificates of origin that are issued by the chamber, which belong to more than 16,500 registered members of SCCI.

This announcement came during the chamber’s participation in the 2nd India - UAE Partnership Summit 2018, which ran for two consecutive days at Atlantis the Palm in Dubai.

The event saw the attendance of a number of high-profile officials and diplomats from both sides, as well as representatives of financial institutions and heads of the sovereign investment funds.
