IMF sees Egypt’s real GDP growth at 6% in 2024

Cairo – Mubasher: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects Egypt’s real gross domestic product (GDP) to grow by 5.5% in 2019, 5.9% in 2020, and 6% in 2024, according to a recent report.

In addition, Egypt’s inflation rate is projected to accelerate again to 9.4% by the end of 2019 and then slow down to 8.7% by the end of 2020, according to the international financial institution.

Earlier in October, the Egyptian prime minister Mostafa Madbouly said that the North African nation targets a 7% GDP growth in fiscal year 2020/2021.
