UAE - Mubasher: Huobi Group, a financial services provider specialising in cryptocurrency and its related products, has received both a DIFC Innovation License in Dubai and registration on New Zealand's Financial Services Provider Register (FSPR).
The DIFC Innovation License offers innovative technology companies in Dubai benefits such as access to a thriving tech ecosystem, technology research and developments, capital repatriation, and taxes, according to a press release.
Meanwhile, the registration on FSPR will enable Huobi to expand its cryptocurrency trading business in New Zealand and operate as a regulated foreign currency exchange in New Zealand.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Huobi Group, Lily Zhang, said: "Huobi attaches great importance toward regulation and compliance globally, and the two new licenses not only mark the major milestones for our global expansion but also reflect our determination to provide safe, regulated and professional services to more users."
Previously, Huobi Group has obtained licenses for various cryptocurrency-related services across different countries, including South Korea, Japan, and Gibraltar.
