Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Municipality forecast the heavy fog that has covered the city since Sunday’s morning to continue.
The thick fog is being observed and analysed 24 hours a day through the early warning system (EWS), Emarat Al Youm reported, citing the head of Geodetic and Marine Survey Department at Dubai Municipality Iman Al Khatibi.
Humidity in some areas has reached 100%, Al Khatibi added.
This wave has disrupted flights at the UAE’s major airports yesterday as numerous flights were cancelled in a time foreign residents get ready to travel home for Christmas and the New Year.
The fog has swept over most of the country since Friday and it has intensified overnight as humidity increased to 95%.
Accordingly, the Emirati police has warned the UAE residents to be extremely cautious as the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) forecast this heavy fog to last for another two days.
