Cairo-Mubasher: Egyptian Iron and Steel Co. (HADISOLB) is not impacted by the sit-in staged by the workers of Al Nasr Co. for Coke & Basic Chemicals, the company said in a bourse statement on Sunday.
HADISOLB added that it started to import coke to stop relying on Al Nasr Coke as a main supplier of such material.
Al Nasr Coke’s workers held a three-day sit-in, demanding profit share from the company. They ended the sit-in on 21 January and resumed work on the following day.
In December, HADISOLB had ruled out press news that the company’s workers held a strike, demanding profit share and annual bonus.
