Global energy demand to rise 25% in 25 years – Aramco CEO

Riyadh – Mubasher: Global energy demand will increase during the next 25 years by 25%, according to International Energy Agency’s (IAE) estimates, due to the increase in world population, CEO of Saudi Arabian Oil Company Saudi (Aramco), Amin Nasser, said.

During his speech at the ‘Energy Dialogue Forum 2016’, Nasser added that there is wide variation in variation in energy consumption around the world, noting that the global oil consumption per capita amounts to 14 barrels per year, while oil consumption per capita in the United States amounts to 60 barrels per year and five barrels per year in India.
