Dubai – Mubasher: Global Islamic economy’s value reached $1.9 trillion in 2015.
The value of assets of the Global Islamic finance sector reached around $2 trillion during the last year, according to a report about the global Islamic economy index for 2016-2017.
The development in the Islamic economy was attributed to eagerness of the consumers to choose products and services in conformity with the Islamic law, according to the report released by Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre and Thomson Reuters.
The report was released before the launch of the Global Islamic Economy Summit (GIES) 2016 on 11 and 12 October in Jumeirah Dubai.
