Riyadh – Mubasher: Etihad GO Telecom Company generated a net profit of SAR 68 million in the first quarter (Q1) of fiscal year (FY) 2026/2027, marking an annual growth of 9.68% from SAR 62 million.
The company witnessed its quarterly revenue climb by 25.29% to SAR 545 million during the three-month period ended on 30 June 2026, compared to SAR 435 million a year earlier.
The telecommunications provider attributed the revenue growth to its expansion strategy, specifically a 16% rise in business sector sales totaling SAR 31 million. This growth was fueled by new contracts with government agencies and private corporations.
Additionally, wholesale sector revenues jumped 56%, or SAR 95 million, due to increased demand for voice interconnection services.
Operating profit for Q1-26/27 reached SAR 72 million, a 4.35% increase compared to SAR 69 million in the prior-year period.
Earnings per share (EPS) improved to SAR 2 from SAR 1.81. Total shareholders' equity, excluding non-controlling interests, stood at SAR 1.08 billion, a 30.83% increase from SAR 827 million.
On a sequential basis, net profit rose by 9.68% from the SAR 62 million recorded in the previous quarter, supported by a SAR 22 million increase in total revenue.
It is worth noting that the FY of GO Telecom ends on 31 March and begins on 1 April of each year.
At the end of March 2026, the net profits attributable to the shareholders of GO Telecom increased by 17.73% YoY to SAR 259 million from SAR 220 million.
