Mubasher: The GCC stock markets are expected to see further volatility on Tuesday amid low oil prices and investors’ tendency to decrease their positions, analysts told Mubasher.
Most of the gulf stock exchanges are foreseen to have a downward trend until the rest of this week; oil prices are expected to fall to the level of $40 a barrel, pushing traders to be more cautious in terms of risking their liquidity, said capital market analyst Basel Abo-Teima.
Rapid speculations are the main rend of the GCC markets, economic analyst Fouad Darwish said, noting that shares of small and medium companies are the favourite for local investors.
