Mubasher: Moody's Investors Service will hold its 12th annual GCC Credit Risk Conference in Dubai on 15 March under the theme "Recovery, Rebalancing & Risk", according to a recent report.
Analysts from the rating agency’s sovereign, banking, and corporate teams will review the six global drivers impacting emerging market credit in the years ahead, as well as look at challenges facing GCC sovereigns and the region's banks.
"We will explore the implications for emerging market credit over the next 12-18 months of political uncertainty and rising protectionism, the strong dollar, and stabilising oil prices," said Jehad El-Nakla, general manager at Moody's Investors Service Middle East.
"GCC countries are reaching a stage now where the short-term pain of fiscal and structural reforms is translating into what could be lasting gains. While oil price volatility is easing this transition, the region's players cannot rely on it to solve all their credit-related problems," El-Nakla added
