Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) on Tuesday has suspended Qatar Airways' licences, ordered the closing of all its offices in the Kingdom within 48 hours of the date of announcement, and withdrawn the licences granted by the authority to all Qatar Airways employees.
The GACA asked all passengers who purchased their tickets to and from Qatar to contact the airline or the travel agent to receive a ticket refund or compensation, according to the authority’s statement.
The authority has decided to prevent all commercial and private airlines registered in the Kingdom from directly or indirectly operating in Qatar.
On Monday, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, and the UAE, along with Yemen and Libya, announced cutting diplomatic ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism. The countries also cut air, sea and land transport links with Qatar.
