Dubai - Mubasher: Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Dubai is expected to rise by 5% on annual basis until 2021, according to Aisha Miran, assistant secretary general of strategy management and governance sector at the executive council of Dubai.
Miran remarks were made on the sidelines of the Dubai Investment Forum 2016 on Tuesday, where she added that the forecasted growth rate in FDI comes in line with the Dubai Plan 2021.
Foreign direct investment increased by 8% last year according to Miran, who also said that specialized and free zones in Dubai, such as Dubai Internet City, and Dubai Silicon Oasis among others, help attract more foreign investments to the emirate.
