Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Tuesday in the green zone after gaining 0.32% or 17.24 points to reach 5,402.44 points.
The financial sector rose 0.53% as Bank Dhofar gained 2.2%.
On the other hand, two sectors fell, led by the industry sector with 0.15% after Galfar Engineering and Contracting lost 1.2%.
The services sector shed 0.11% as Oman Telecommunications (Omantel) declined 0.4%.
Traded volume dropped to 16.24 million shares on Tuesday against 19.26 million shares on Monday, while liquidity decreased to OMR 2.40 million from OMR 2.93 million.
Bank Sohar gained 1.4%, and led in terms of trading volume with 5.1 million shares exchanged at a turnover of OMR 738,770.
Earlier on Tuesday, the main index inched up 0.09% reaching 5,390.25 points.
