European stocks open Friday higher

Mubasher: The European markets saw a bullish performance in Friday’s early trades, backed by positive news regarding the rise of industrial production in the euro area in November.

Britain’s FTSE 100 index increased 0.40% or 29.31 points to reach 7,321.68 points.

The French CAC index rose 0.45% or 21.78 points to reach 4,885.75 points, while the German DAX index went up 0.43% to stand at 11,571.14 points.

Industrial production in the euro area rose 1.5% in November 2016, compared to figures reported during the same period of October 2016, according to Eurostat.
