UAE – Mubasher: The UAE’s Federal Export Credit Insurance Company, Etihad Credit Insurance (ECI), will support the expansion plans of Dubai Cable Company (Ducab) by providing international trade credit coverage.
The coverage will elevate Ducab to cater to customers from the wider Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australasia, as well as Europe and the Americas, said a press release on Monday.
Established in 1979, Ducab is a UAE-based global major in the development, design, manufacture, marketing and distribution of copper and aluminium wire and cable products. It exports over 60% of its manufactured products to countries worldwide.
In this regard, Ducab has collaborated with ECI for a multi-buyer trade credit solution to reduce the risks related to the exports of their products to international markets. Moreover, it will get access to ECI’s information database platform, which consists of over 90 million corporates.
The CEO of ECI, Massimo Falcioni, commented: “ECI has a strong mandate to strengthen UAE business capabilities to do business in international markets by providing innovative trade credit solutions that can help them accomplish their business goals and boost their expansion globally.”.
He further commended Ducab’s milestone projects inside the UAE, pointing out that the local achievements have backed the company to leap into the global market.
Meanwhile, the CEO of Ducab, Meshal Al Naqbi, concluded, "The current partnership with ECI will support our strong export business, enabling Ducab to continue to expand in markets around the world."
