Mubasher: Etihad Airways suffered a net loss of $1.87 billion during fiscal year 2016, according to a recent official statement.
Etihad achieved $8.36 billion in total revenues in FY16, posting a 7% decrease when compared to $9 billion revenues FY15.
The UAE company clarified that revenues from passengers remained quite unchanged at $4.9 billion, with the airlines firm registering a record passenger number of 18.5 million travelers in FY16, the statement added.
Etihad Airways has expected fluctuation in oil prices to shrink by the end of 2017.
