UAE - Mubasher: Emirates SkyCargo has operated over 10,000 scheduled, ad-hoc, and charter flights to several destinations across six continents between April and June, according to Dubai media office.
Through these flights, the subsidiary of Emirates Airline has facilitated the transmission of commodities and other urgently needed medical supplies amid the suspension of global flights due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Emirates SkyCargo has increased the number of its scheduled cargo destinations to more than 100 by July 2020 from over 35 destinations by the end of March 2020.
From May to June, the cargo airline has run over 3,800 flights per month which travelled to more than 100 destinations.
Emirates Divisional Senior Vice President, Nabil Sultan, said: "As a customer focused organisation, Emirates SkyCargo has innovatively adapted our cargo operations and offerings over the last few months in line with rapidly evolving market demand."
