Dubai-Mubasher: Emaar Properties is set to beat its own world record by building a tower taller than Burj Khalifa with costs of AED 3.65 billion ($1 billion), a statement showed.
The company’s Chairman Mohamed Al-Abbar said construction work will begin in June or July, according a Sunday statement.
Fifty percent of the project will be financed through equity and 50% through debt, Al-Abbar added.
Located in Dubai Creek Harbour, the project will be built on a total area of 6 square kilometers.
“The tower’s height will probably be announced when the project is completed by the time that Dubai’s Expo 2020 event begins, Al-Abbar noted
The project will be taller than the 828-meter Burj Khalifa, he added.
