Emaar denies hiring banks for US dollar Sukuk issuance

Dubai – Mubasher: Emaar Properties has denied the news claiming that the company formally hired banks to issue US dollar-denominated Sukuk, according to a bourse filing on Sunday.

Previously, sources told Reuters that the Dubai-based real estate developer has appointed banks to sell US dollar-denominated Sukuk, without mentioning the amount that the company seeks to raise.

Emaar's last issuance of international bonds was in 2019 to raise $500 million through a 10-year Sukuk.
