Elsewedy Electric's unit, Alexandria Petroleum Maintenance ink EGP 126m deal

Cairo – Mubasher: Elsewedy Electric Co announced that its 99.9%-owned subsidiary Elsewedy Electric for Trading and Distribution and Alexandria Petroleum Maintenance Co. Petromaint signed a contract to implement the sewage treatment plant Nijh in El-Sharkia governorate.

The EGP 126 million deal includes designing, supplying, installing, implementing, and supporting operation of a sewage treatment plant with a capacity of 6,000 cubic metres per day on turnkey basis, Elsewedy Electric said in a bourse disclosure on Wednesday.

The contract will be executed over a period of 24 months as of the data of receiving the site.

During the first nine months of 2020, Elsewedy Electric Co achieved net profits of EGP 1.93 billion, down from EGP 2.78 billion in the year-ago period, including minority shareholders’ rights.
