Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will on Thursday inaugurate the GYPTO Pharma Medical City at Khanka district.
The city, spanning over an area of 180,000 square metres (sqm), is one the largest cities of its kind in the Middle East, the Presidential Spokesman, Bassam Rady, said in a statement.
It will allow Egyptians to receive high-quality and safe drug treatment as well as help preventing any monopolistic practices and control drug prices, he pointed out.
Equipped with the latest technologies in drug production, the city is set to be a regional hub, attracting major pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing companies.
