Cairo – Mubasher: The main index (EGX30) of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday down by 0.7% at 11,618 points.
The EGX100 EWI inched down by 0.84% to 3,124 points, and the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI fell by 0.97% to 2,113 points.
Similarly, the EGX50 EWI dropped 0.79% to 2,017 points.
The turnover surged to EGP 7.33 billion through the trading of 651.72 million shares, compared to EGP 1.22 billion and 309.31 million shares in the previous session.
The market cap value declined to EGP 731.73 billion from EGP 734.95 billion on Monday.
As for trading on securities, Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 2.56 billion and EGP 1.33 billion, respectively, while Arab traders were net buyers with EGP 3.9 billion.
