Egyptian stock market declines on Monday

Cairo – Mubasher: The EGX30 benchmark index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) went down by 0.49% on Monday to close at 9,680.18 points.

The EGX50 EWI fell by 0.50% to 1,723.60 points.

Similarly, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI lost 0.82% to close at 1,805.64 points. EGX100 EWI also declined by 0.74 to 2,674.01 points.

EGX’s trading value amounted to EGP 615.37 million after 296.34 million shares were traded. The market cap value totalled EGP 646.77 billion.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 162.36 million and EGP 31.02 million, respectively, while foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 193.39 million.
