Cairo – Mubasher: Head of Egypt’s Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA), Ibrahim Ashmawy, said they are waiting for the government’s approval to offer a storage logistic hub in South Sinai’s El Tor City to a cluster of investors by direct order, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Tuesday.
The logistic hub will be established over an area spanning 18 feddans at a value ranging from EGP 1 billion to EGP 1.5 billion and will provide 2,000 direct and indirect job opportunities. The statement was made by Ashmawy on the sidelines of launching some commercial projects at the commercial/logistic hub in Tanta City.
The said logistic hub will serve all of South Sinai governorate and will include a unit for manufacturing industries and a spare part storage area.
Ashmawy further revealed that work is underway to establish the first central market outside Cairo on an area of 5,000 meter and with investments up to EGP 100 million. The step is part of the political leadership's directives to set up wholesale and central markets to provide goods and commodities.
