Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry announced that eight Egyptian firms participated in the WorldFood Moscow exhibition held between 21 and 24 September in the Russian capital.
These companies have signed initial export deals at a combined value of about $7 million, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The companies include three firms operating in agricultural crops and five in food industries. A fish export firm also took part as a visitor.
The Head of the Egyptian Commercial Representation Office in Moscow, Yasser Mustafa, said that the exhibition is one of the major international events in the food industry, noting that the office advises Egyptian companies participating in the exhibition and those exporting to the Russian market to comply with the Russian agricultural quarantine requirements.
