Egyptian Sukari mine’s gold production shrinks 17% YoY in Q3-19

Cairo – Mubasher: Production from Egypt’s Sukari gold mine declined by 17% year-on-year during the third quarter of 2019, data from Centamin Egypt showed.

The mine’s output reached 98,045 ounces during the three-month period ended September 2019, compared to 117,720 ounces in the year-ago period.

In a quarterly basis, production went down by 16.85%, from 117,913 ounces in the previous quarter.

Meanwhile, revenue surged 28% to $160.4 million in Q3-19 versus $125.1 million the year before.
