Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session in green territory, encouraged by Egyptian and Arab buying.
The benchmark EGX30 index gained 60.33 points, or 0.46%, finishing the last session of the week at 13,264.7 points.
Market capitalisation grew EGP 126.5 million and closed the session at EGP 757.11 billion.
The small- and mid-cap index EGX70 went up 0.52% to 694.3 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.42% to 1,730 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.33% to 2,176 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 175.05 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 762.2 million through 25,970 transactions.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 14.29 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 12.18 million and EGP 2.10 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank’s (CIB) stock upped 0.05% to EGP 75.95, generating a turnover of EGP 7.5 million.
