Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt is implementing a project to digitise government services at a total cost of EGP 3 billion, the Minster of Communications and Information Technology, Amr Talaat, revealed.
The digital government services will be accessed through four platforms; namely, Digital Egypt to which more than 1 million citizens signed up in its trial phase as well as post offices, government service centres, and call centers (15999), Talaat said in his talk to the House of Representatives on Sunday.
He pointed out that 50 information technology infrastructure data bases were added in partnership with the Administrative Control Authority, bringing the total number of data bases to 75.
In addition, work is underway to digitise 1 billion government documents.
