Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt utilised around 30% ($580 million) of the cooperation portfolio between Egypt and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) during 2015-2016, according to the ministry of international cooperation.
The ministry noted that the CEO of IFC, Philippe Le Houerou, is expected to meet the international cooperation minister, Sahar Nasr, on Wednesday to discuss cooperation between both parties.
“The meeting is expected to discuss challenges facing the private sector and the means of supporting it, besides a number of future projects, given that IFC prioritises the infrastructure, energy, renewable energy, transports, water and education projects,” the ministry’s statement said.
IFC has allocated $2 billion for the projects portfolio in Egypt, which is scheduled to end by 2019.
