Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy has completed the expansion and replacement works of electricity networks in Aswan at a cost of EGP 1.3 billion from July 2014 until June 2020.
The state-financed EGP 500 million plan was implemented between July 2017 and June 2020, while the self-financed EGP 140 million was executed from July 2014 until June 2020, according to a statement on Monday.
The electricity upgrade plan included the replacement of medium-voltage overhead power lines with underground cables at total lengths of 44.641 kilometres at a cost of EGP 60 million.
