Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt will announce the approval of Sinopharm’s COVID-19 vaccine for use within hours, the Minister of Health, Hala Zayed, told Al Arabiya.
The Egyptian Drug Authority held its final review meeting on Monday, Zayed added.
The North African nation received several shipments of the Chinese vaccine over the last weeks.
On Monday, the country reported 1,359 new coronavirus cases, taking the tally to 133,900 with 110,436 recoveries and 7,466 deaths.
