Cairo – Mubasher: The Ministry of Finance submitted the draft budget for fiscal year (FY) 2021/2022 to the House of Representatives for discussion and approval.
The country aims to slash its budget deficit to 6.7% of the gross domestic product (GDP), achieve a primary surplus of 1.5%, and post an average GDP growth of 5.4% in the coming fiscal year, according to a statement on Sunday.
The government expenditures are forecast to reach EGP 1.8 trillion, while the revenues are seen at EGP 1.36 trillion.
Public investments are expected to register EGP 358.1 billion in FY21/22.
