Cairo – Mubasher: The General Authority For Supply Commodities has disbursed EGP 245 million in dues to ration shops and Gameaty outlets for the value of subsidised commodities, the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Ali El-Moselhy, revealed.
The payment was made on 8 March, 10 days ahead of schedule, in line with the directives of the minister, according to a statement on Tuesday.
The government offers subsidies worth EGP 36 billion for the supply of 28 commodities each year, averaging EGP 3 billion per month, the minister added.
