Egypt’s stock market ends week lower

Cairo – Mubasher: The main index (EGX30) of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s session down by 1.01% at 11,337.99 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI fell by 0.83% to 2,015.95 points.

Similarly, the EGX100 EWI went down by 0.67% to 2,972.43 points, while the EGX50 EWI edged down 0.52% to 1,930.35 points.

EGX’s turnover reached EGP 853 million through the exchange of 235.9 million shares, compared to  EGP 809.79 million and 272.7 million shares in the previous session.

The market cap value decreased by EGP 3 billion to EGP 710.39 billion.

Egyptian traders were net buyers with EGP 44.3 million, while foreign Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 13.2 million and EGP 31 million, respectively.
