Egypt’s stock market ends Thursday’s session in red

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session in red, with the EGX30 main index down 1.54% to 15,141.55 points.

The EGX50 EWI also declined by 1.21% to 2,633.08 points.

Additionally, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices ended the session lower by 0.65% at 2,864.04 points and by 0.78% at 4,214.35 points, respectively.

The turnover amounted to EGP 3.62 billion after 1.85 billion shares were exchanged, whereas the market cap value stood at EGP 973.50 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 270.87 million and EGP 200.17 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 471.04 million.
