Egypt’s stock market closes Wednesday with varied performance

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note, with the EGX30 main index up 0.13% to 14,541.98 points.

On the other hand, the EGX50 EWI declined by 0.44% to 2,583.24 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices also ended the session lower by 0.32% at 2,788.02 points and by 0.38% at 4,122.09 points, respectively.

EGX’s trading value totalled EGP 1.74 billion through the exchange of 654.80 million shares, whereas the market cap value reached EGP 950.79 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Arab and Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 42.23 million and EGP 5.14 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 47.38 billion.
