Egypt’s stock market closes Wednesday down

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s trading session in the red zone after the EGX30 main declined by 0.95% to 24,837.56 points.

Both the EGX70 EWI and EGX100 EWI closed the session lower by 0.29% at 5,410.02 points and by 0.47% at 7,835.66 points, respectively.

EGX’s turnover hit EGP 2.94 billion through the exchange of 936.65 million shares, while the market cap value reached EGP 1.68 trillion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 43.96 million and EGP 41.91 million, respectively. The Arab traders were net buyers with EGP 85.87 million.
