Egypt’s stock market closes Tuesday on mixed note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session in varied performance, with the EGX30 main index down 0.35% to 10,397.12 points.

The EGX50 EWI also declined by 0.41% to 1,971.56 points.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices closed higher by 0.55% to 2,302.73 points and by 0.29% to 3,289.22 points, respectively.

EGX’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.45 billion after 687.97 million shares were exchanged. The market cap value totalled EGP 713.23 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 199.42 million and EGP 107.76 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 307.19 million
