Egypt’s stock market closes Tuesday down

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday’s trading session in the red zone, with the EGX30 main index down 1.06% to 10,137.89 points.

The EGX50 EWI also fell by 0.64% to 1,901.35 points.

Furthermore, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices closed the session lower by 0.26% to 2,188.09 points and by 0.56% to 3,130.63 points, respectively.

The turnover reached EGP 1.71 billion after 882.19 million shares were exchanged. The market cap value stood at EGP 684.96 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 270.01 million. Meanwhile, the foreign and Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 267.03 million and EGP 2.98 million, respectively.
