Egypt’s stock market closes Thursday’s session in red

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session in the red zone, with the EGX30 main index inching down by 0.41% to 14,482.93 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 EWI slid by 0.52% to close at 2,569.7 points. 

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices closed the session lower by 1.18% to 2,755.19 points and by 1.14% to 4,075.21 points, respectively.

EGX’s trading value totalled EGP 1.89 billion through the exchange of 723.56 million shares, whereas the market cap value reached EGP 946.85 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 185.47 million. Meanwhile, the Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 6.88 million and EGP 178.58 million, respectively.
