Egypt’s stock market closes Sunday on mixed note

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s trading session with a varied performance after the EGX30 main index went down by 0.15% to 10,258.24 points.

The EGX50 EWI also retreated by 0.10% to 1,951.61 points. 

On the other hand, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices closed the session higher by 0.71% to 2,239.13 points and by 0.49% to 3,196.30 points, respectively.

EGX’s trading value amounted to EGP 976.94 million after 492.60 million shares were exchanged. The market cap value reached EGP 710.44 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 17.17 million and EGP 16.71 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 33.88 million.
