Egypt’s stock market closes Monday on mixed note

Cairo – Mubasher: The EGX30 benchmark index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday down by 0.29% at 11,529.18 points.

The EGX50 EWI meanwhile rose by 0.31% to 1,968.28 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI also gained 0.57% to close at 1,936.72 points.

EGX100 EWI went up by 0.44% to 2,944.24 points.

EGX’s trading value stood at EGP 907.64 million through the exchange of 189.47 million shares. The market cap value totalled EGP 739.27 billion.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 102.22 million and EGP 70.40 million, respectively, while foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 172.62 million.
