Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt’s population increased to 102 million people, compared to 101 million in early October 2020, according to data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
The average daily population growth reached 3,636 over the 275-day period, the CAPMAS said in a statement on Monday.
Egypt is the most populous Arab nation, the third in Africa following Nigeria and Ethiopia, and the fourteenth globally.
In 2020, the number of new births decreased by about 72,290 when compared to 2019.
