Egypt's non-petroleum exports rise 12% in 10M-22

Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt's non-petroleum exports hiked by 12% annually during the first ten months (10M) of 2022 to reach $30.40 billion, compared with $27.10 billion, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) cited data by the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC).

Exports from the chemical and fertiliser sector hit $7.11 billion in 10M-22, while exports of building materials and food industries reached $5.75 billion and $3.46 billion, respectively.

In the meantime, exports of engineering industries amounted to $3.07 billion from January to October 2022, and exports of agricultural crops registered $2.60 billion.

Moreover, Egypt’s exports of ready-made garments recorded $2.09 billion during 10M-22, while exports of printing, packaging, paper, and books reached $909 million.
