Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has exported 3.5 million tonnes of natural and liquified gas during the first half (H1) of fiscal year 2021/2022, the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced.
The Ministry expected an increase in the country's exports of natural and liquified gas to 7.5 million tonnes by the end of fiscal year 2021/2022.
During the general assembly meeting to adopt the planning budget 2022/2023, the Chairman of Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), Magdy Galal, said that two tenders were awarded for exploration and drilling of six wells with $179 million investments in H1-22/23.
Galal added that about 700,000 out of 1.2 million housing units were connected to natural gas this year.
