Egypt’s international reserves rise in May for 12th month in row

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s net international reserves continued its upward trend in May for the 12th successive month.

The net international reserves rose by $125 million month-on-month (MoM) to $40.468 billion at the end of May, compared to $40.343 billion, according to data by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

It is noteworthy to mention that Egypt is expected to obtain $1.6 billion in funding from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as a new tranche of the $5.2 billion standby loan within the coming weeks.
