Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt's holdings of US treasuries declined to $2.249 billion in October 2021, compared to $2.244 billion in the year-ago period.
On a monthly basis, Egypt's investments in the US debt instruments retreated in October 2021 from $2.254 billion in September 2021, according to the data of the US Department of the Treasury.
At the Arab level, Saudi Arabia led the holders of the US debt instruments with $116.5 billion.
Globally, Japan has topped the holders of the US debt instruments with $1.320 trillion, followed by China with $1.065 trillion.
The total value of the US treasuries jumped by around 8.2% year-on-year (YoY) to $7.648 trillion in October 2021 from $7.07 trillion.
